Welcome to the new portal page for the Textile Arts Diploma program and Advanced Certificate at Capilano University.
Weaving and Surface Design are the studio courses that form the core of the 2 year, full-time Textile Arts Diploma Program; these are supported by courses in Drawing, Design, 3D Mixed Media, Visual Literacy, Textile History, Precision Dyeing and Professional and Business Skills.
While many Grads embark on their careers after completing the Diploma, others choose to use the Diploma as the first two years of a Bachelor’s degree. Capilano U’s Textile Arts Dept. has block transfer agreements in place with Emily Carr (Vancouver), ACAD (Calgary), Concordia(Montreal) and NSCAD (Halifax).
The Textile Arts Advanced Certificate offers a focused study opportunity to students with a minimum of 2 years post-secondary visual arts studies.
