15 December, 2011Final projects for the semester are complete and we can all relax for three glorious weeks!
Here are some pictures from our presentation day in Surface Design class. The requirements of this project were to combine the silkscreening techniques we learned this semester with surface embellishment techniques, such as shibori, embroidery, and applique.
A wide range of projects were presented, from cool wearables including a rockin’ bikini, stylin’ tank tops and innovative detachable sleeves to fabulous wall hangings, yardage, and pillows…and of course an exceptionally adorable owl named Percy.
Screenprint Projects
17 November, 2011The objective for these projects was to create either a 3 metre piece of yardage using one of the repeat mechanisms OR to develop a product line for the upcoming student sale!

*There is also an information session for the Textile Arts Program between 1:30 and 2:30 in the same location. This is a great opportunity to meety faculty and to see student work (and students at work)!
Surface Design ~ Screen printing projects
